was born in Frankfurt (Main) and discovered his passion for movies at the age of 16. In 2009 he started studying directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Wuerttemberg. Since then he has created several award-winning short films that have been screened all over the world. In 2014 he participated in the UCLA Hollywood-Workshop in Los Angeles for which he was granted the Baden-Württemberg-Stipend. He finished his studies with the film WHEN DEMONS DIE for which he won the “Studio Hamburg Nachwuchspreis 2016” in the category “Best short film” and was shortlisted at the YOUNG DIRECTOR AWARD 2016 in Cannes and the BAFTA Student Film Awards 2017. The film premiered in Los Angeles at L.A. Shortsfest and was officially selected for SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival, the HOFER Filmtage, the FIRST STEPS award and many other festivals.

Daniel has since worked as a director and writer for i.a. Bavaria Fiction, Pantaleon Films, NBC Universal and Fox International. As part of “THE GREATER FOOL | Creative Collective” he’s developing feature films as well as tv series concepts.
